Exterior glass in Maine and New Hampshire takes a beating. Winter salt spray, spring pollen, pine sap, well-water minerals and months of rain spotting build into a film that a garden hose will never touch. Most people stop noticing it, because it happens slowly. Then it gets cleaned, and the room looks like someone turned a light on.

We hand-clean every pane, then work the frames, sills and tracks. That last part is where most window cleaning quietly falls short: the glass is clear but the sill is still full of grit, so the next rain washes it straight back down and streaks the pane.
